I Was Not In Love With Her After All Poem by Jeff Fleischer

The summer had turned to fall,
And it was time to tell her that I was sorry,
But I was not in love with her after all.
It was not that I did not try,
Or told her a bunch of lies.
It was just that her expressions of love
Could not warm a heart that was cold as ice.
Therefore, I had to refrain from making the ultimate sacrifice.
And even though we have since parted ways.
I'll never forget her for the rest of my days.
