I Was Once A Child

Rating: 5.0

I was then a picture seen,
but always saw a laughing child.
And yes I did what then was said,
the price I paid was worth the cost.

I bent the trees and stripped the bush,
of leaves so green they left a blush.
And moss was like a beard that grew,
disappearing youth unknown was all I knew.
