I Was Told Poem by White Tiger

I Was Told

I was told that you were cold
And your words were like ice
That the soul you sold
Was your own, at a heavy price

I was told that you were mean
And had no remorse
That you weren't even keen
And instigated your divorce

I was told, not to get near
That you would never show fear

I was told to run
And never see you again
To forget about you being
In any way my friend

I was told so many things
I didn't know what to believe
But after being with you
How can I retrieve?

Now in you, I believe.
