I Watch My Own Demise - Poem by Lily Espinosa

Lurking in the depths,
It waits,
Never leaves,
Just waits.
Every so often it resurfaces,
Dragging uncontrollable emotions of every kind with it,
It will never dissolve, or even subside
And I hate you for placing this thing in me,
This monster,
Called heartbreak.
