I Watch You Going To School Poem by krishna kumar

I Watch You Going To School

I want to be in your place,
suiting myself in your uniform dress.
My yearning eyes are watching you go.
And my heart wants to do, what you do.

But, I can't as I have other works needed to be done faster
which are given by your father, my master.
Once your father went to the school,
While my father was just used as a working tool.

Is God the one who designed my fate?
Why he never wanted to give me a slate?
I don't know, how, I am in, for his game.
My parents or he, now whom shall I blame?

Let all the things happened, be gone
I will never let this same happen to my son
Because I knew if my father has thought like so
Then I will have accompanied you

The importance of schooling is aptly presented. The narration is fresh and the feel is good.
