I Will Be There Poem by Eric Zinbabora Batung

I Will Be There

When all hope of trust is gone,
When there is no reason to hang on,
When all the rules have been broken,
When you are left standing aloof.
I will glue to you like an adhesive.
I will come through your veins.
The only voice echoing from you will be mine.
My love will come across to you
Like a spring of water bursting out into the Sahara
And cooling its heated sands.
I will walk up to you like the last hope of a drowning Empress;
You are my Empress and I am the last Emperor standing.
I am super-glued to you.
