I Will Miss You Poem by Alexander Johnson

I Will Miss You

Another day, a new life.
A husband and a wife?
Breathe now, breathe... Then look... Listen.
See joyous eyes and tears glisten.

Breathe in... it's calm now.
What happened?

Another day, a new time.
From this day forth and forever more,

My former 'self' will now decline.
For you are what matters, what we are here for....

When I think 'why carry on',
I will think now of you.
When I would have thought of only one,
I will now think of two.

When bad times ebb and good times flow,
If ever sorrow tips the scale,
Please be sure to let me know.

Sometimes I will be lost in my crusade,
So bring me back and never be afraid.

Another time, a new day.
We journey together and keep our fears at bay,
Many days, will ebb and flow.
It cannot last forever, not much time to go.

Forgive me, I will need to leave in the end.
My heart will break, but yours must mend.

Another day my friend, my kin.
The end, round, about, the best place to begin.

It's just another day that I will miss you.
