I Will Not Be Controlled Poem by Randy McClave

I Will Not Be Controlled

I will not wear a tattoo for you
Even if it's factual and true,
And unto my very own accord
I will not ever be your billboard.
I will not wear advertisements on a shirt
No one do I want to offend or hurt,
If you think that I will wear one
Remember this, I will not be your pawn.
I will not wear your beliefs on a hat
Of course I know better than that,
No matter what it does say
I will not wear one on any day.
I will not wear a necklace or a ring
To show I support them or something,
Unto no one am I rented or owned
And unto to no one am I loaned.
When I look into a mirror
My thoughts and my perspectives are clear,
And I don't care if I'm looked at or trolled
By no person am I ever controlled.
