I got an immediate meaning of this poem as I read it, but I have no idea if it's the right one. Correct me if I'm wrong.
You affirm God cannot be the source or cause of a human being's moral failure. So from where does this mean spirit come from. Well, it was inherited from another human being - my mother, but despite this negative inheritance I still wish her well and treat her with honor, as God wants me too (the fourth commandment) . If I made the wrong inference by all means correct me. I hesitated to say anything bad about one of your family members, and one so close as a mother.
