I Will Remember Poem by Timothy Akankwasa

I Will Remember

I will Remember......! !
on that day I came to listen to u, with a lot of expectations,
Ur eloquence did move the mountains and the nations,
the speeches and the promises seemed like u were sent from heaven,
Poor me i dint c what was coming my way, on the election day, mr politician i did it in your favor all shouting 'With U to the final breath'

Now Your words and empty promises will hang u like it did king Loius XIV.
Am not gona sit back and watch you lie to me again yes av felt enough pain now its my time to gain,
I recall you walking in my hood all feeling tall now we see who is the worst of them all.
Yes i will remember how u never came in when we had no water, i will recall the days u spend at the Sun n Sands resort when my fellow brothers, sisters mothers and fathers in the deep with no food to eat,

I will remember when o told them to eat RATS-like u can u do-i don't think so.

Time is coming when u will soon come knocking at my door and this time i wont let u step even on my floor,
Even Paul warned, 'u got no right to rule over a community if your own house is in debris,

My voice might b timid like a drop in the ocean,
But i got the zeal and will to protect my own kind against gluttons like you,

The skies have cleared now i see all your deeds and deep in your heart lies an ocean of greed, yet we got plenty of mouths to feed,

No lawyer can plead your case cause God is the judge and the He the; last word! !

Yes i will remember that you told us to go to the streets and demonstrate for our rights but when the police came in, you were whisked away as we were flogged and shot at, only for me to see your face and crocodile tears on the 9 o'clock bulletin,

Now i will not lay to rest that u divided us on tribal groups, now Your making us fight over an island we wont benefit from just to shoot up your popularity,

I will recall that the first bill u amended was not free education of treatment but an increase of ur wages and tax free allowances,

Dear Mr and miss politicians, please note these and many more I will remember before i cast any more vote for u.....! !
yours truly,
The Robbed Citizen.
