I wish to sit beneath the arms of a maple tree,
And watch its autumn leaves depart their twigs,
I wish to inhale their smell and breathe their lapsing life,
And brush their dry facade against my skin...
I wish to taste the rain before it embraces the turf,
And feel its drops flow down my cheeks,
I want it to take my tears along with it's self,
And I want the rain to make me feel...
I wish to watch the rays of the rising sun,
And be amazed as myriad hues colour the sky,
I wish to feel its first rays landing on my face,
As its light radiates hope far and wide...
I wish to run along the shores of the sea,
And let the saline waters wash my feet,
I wish to play with the waves and dance around,
As those waters go and come to me...
I wish to fly like the wind and touch the highest peaks,
And breathe in as much of life as I can,
I wish to shout and hear the wind repeat my words,
As it blows far across many lands...
I wish to watch and feel every aspect of life,
And hear the faintest whispers that it tells,
I wish to smell the sweetest scents of its wild blossoms,
I wish to taste purity of the heart,
And I wish to live...
