I Wish Poem by Caswell Sibiya

I Wish

Rating: 5.0

The labor of the day
And it's hardships
Inflicts wishes to one
For dawn to standby
As wishes for rest rains.

I wish for nothing, but you
I wish I was fearless,
To stand up to you
I wish I was courageous,
To have the guts to make a move.

I wish I could make you want me,
Want me like I do.
I wish I'd walk straight to you,
And tell you how I feel.

Will you ever realize my love for you?
If only I could walk straight to you
Make my confession.

I wish I'd make you mine
Wrap my lips against yours,
Love you as long as I breath
All I wish for,
is nothing but to fall in love with you.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Keeping feelings to yourself is like holding a hot coal with bare hand, you're the only one who get burned by these unspoken feelings. It's better to be turned down and move on, than to regret later on wishing you'd poured out your chest. Only to find it's too late, you had your chance an blew it. Follow your heart but take your brains with you, all in the name of love.

Such a lovely and sad love poem I can fully relate. I fully agree with you keeping feelings inside only destroys you
