I Wish I Never Knew You Poem by Seun Bewaji

I Wish I Never Knew You

Rating: 4.0

I wish I never knew you
Or receive all your gestures
Your company that I kept
Rubbed more than I gain

I wish you were eyes
Where I failed to see
I wish you stretched hands
Where I had fallen

You exaggerated my fault
Than it seems to be
You blown my harrowing shame
To joyfully fan your fame

Two are better than one
Is what we often hear
But ours is worse than one
I wish I never knew you

You left me in chilling winter
Naked and terribly shivering
You withdrew your clothes
Keeping no thought of my dying

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

How true and how painfull. Unfortunately that is life, we just have to pick up the pieces and brave-on. Thanks Seun, for that good piece.

You withdrew your clothes Keeping no thought of my dying....so sad...in life everything happens for a (an unknown) reason for there is always a lesson to be learnt..these trials and errors make us who we are...on that note live life with no regrets....thanx for sharing your poem (:
