I Wish I Was Disabled Poem by Azhar Ibrahim

I Wish I Was Disabled

Rating: 5.0

Oh my dear lord,
I wish I was blind,
Not from the beauty of what you created,
But from all the harams out there!

Oh my dear lord,
I wish I was deaf,
Not from hearing your dikrs,
But from all the vices out there!

Oh my dear lord,
I wish I was dumb,
Not from conveying your message,
But from talking filth!

Oh my dear lord,
I wish I was disabled,
Not from flying like a bird,
But from walking towards haram!

Oh my dear lord,
My heart is beating,
To be blessed to see you,
But I'm not worthy of the honour,
My hope is in your mercy - for you won't ignore a hand raised to you.

Haram means forbidden things and dikr means remembrances

May all your prayers be fulfilled... Very touchy insight of this materialistic world. I pray God keep us safe from all the sins and accept our prayers...10 points for beautiful thought provoking thought
