I Wish I Were A Bull Poem by Lajpat Chawla

I Wish I Were A Bull

I wish I were a bull
And lived my life to full.
When young I worked in the fields
Pulled the carts awful.
When I got a little old,
I was kicked out and sold.
And got killed in one stroke,
I was not sorrowful.
I wish I were a bull.
The man today works like me,
When old he is at sea.
Gets trampled by one and all,
They treat him like a pee.
I will prefer to be in grave,
Smiling and peaceful.
I wish I were a bull.
