I Wish There Was Such A Thing As Time Travel Poem by Braden Patton

I Wish There Was Such A Thing As Time Travel

Let’s go back to the days when you were mine,
Let’s fool ourselves into pretending we’ve gone back in time.
I wish we could the show the birds and the bees,
That you and I are the ones made to be.

If there was a way to go back,
We’d never have accept the fact
That we just couldn’t extract
The hateful words before we could react.

This is evidence of what I’m here to conspire,
In this note is everything you and I desire.
The reverence of our previous quest
Is more than enough to swell my heaving chest.

So let’s pretend I never strayed,
I’ll go back to loving Jade
And making our life worthwhile
For the both of us now, it’s time we smile.

The rest of our time won’t be in vain,
I know what we need and that’s the same
As the love we’ve always shared
You know for each other we both have cared.
If you would only accept my apology
Then you and I may once again be.
