I Wish You Would Say You Love Me Poem by Bartholomew Arkoh Boamah Sarbah

I Wish You Would Say You Love Me

Each time I look at your face
In your eyes I could see passion
exuded by your searching eyes
with love that burns like a flame
from a candle lit

I could hear your heart throbbing strongly
in the replete of morning serenity
And your nervous tension
betraying your vacillating thoughts

The feelings you hold so intense for me;
the love that routes from the depth of your heart
Is never a secret from your adored

I wish you would say you love me
The alter awaits for a new union
but you are daunted
by my erratic character
and we all long for a bond that seems a vivid illusory
