Anonymus Girl

I Won - Poem by Anonymus Girl

They all say I should hate you
And believe me, I am trying
But whenever you walk past me
I feel another part of me dying

You don’t bother to look at me now
Your new girlfriend thinks she won
But would she be happy to be with you
If she found out what you’d done?

That you used words to take what was mine
Weaved your way into my heart
Just so you could fester there
And completely rip me apart

Your feelings crammed inside my head,
your words chewing off my ears
Tearing down my protective shields
And creating new intense fears

Sometimes I think about how we were
And I permit myself a small smile
Because for a second I let myself believe we were perfect
If only for a little while

But now your walking past me
As if we’d never been so close
As if you’d never broken my heart
Or tried to get me to overdose

Now I’m looking at your girlfriend
And finally she’s not just anyone
She was the other competitor in this game
And guess what cow, I won.

i like the spirit in this poem, the other side of being left out by a guy-good feeling and determination you got here, its his loss, not yours, right? (Report) Reply
