I Would Be Beautiful Poem by Rachel Brewer

There is so much beauty in the world.
Most people can’t see it.
Because they don’t want too see it.

People only see what’s right in front of them,
They never look beyond the surface,
They never take the time to.

If people looked at me like they really wanted to,
They would see so much.
I would be beautiful to them, if they looked.

They would see my heart,
They would see my soul,
And maybe I would be different to some of them?

Maybe they would see me as a better person?
Maybe they would see me as a better friend?
Or maybe they would see me as more than that?

Anyway, it’ll never happen,
Because they don’t want to look,
They don’t want to see me.
