I would have written a poem for you
But I could only write for myself
Perhaps it touches you
Perhaps not
I would have written a poem for you
And moved you to greater love of your own life
But I did not have enough love myself
And not enough ‘gift of God' talent either

I have written and I write
Perhaps something of the poems
Are for you

Ah how wonderful it would be to always love life
And always feel an exalted singing within ourselves.
