I always look up to Him
In my times of need
I always open up my heart
I never have to plead

When I have my talks with God
It's always one on one
I know he always hears me
Because I am a son

I take the time to explain
All that I'm going through
Knowing that in time
He'll help me find the right thing to do

Sometimes what we all need
Is just to be listened to
Talking with Him
Is what I most prefer to do

I know that I won't be judged
Or ever struck by lightening
In fact, truth be told
That would be rather frightening

I tell Him all my troubles
Plus, other things on my mind
When I stop to speak with Him
I always take my time

I would never neglect Him
I would never reject Him
I would never disrespect Him
I would always select Him

I would never say his name in vain
Or ever put Him down
Because you see when I need him most
He's so easy to be found
