I Wrote Her Name On The Sand Moving My Finger Slow Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

I Wrote Her Name On The Sand Moving My Finger Slow

I wrote her name on the sand moving my finger slow

And built a castle of sand to protect her name

My loved one, the immense heavens above

And day began to set and mellow more

The skies, the day increased to dusk

And from there to blushing dawn

Thence to kingly night This shall be mine
