I, You, Hlm - Poem by ChiehTing Yeh

I remember the day when we met
I thought I was Romeo and you were Juliet
I was a young cadet, built and fearless
I stood with envy, my fair goddess

You stood there tranquil under the sun
Your radiance hit me like a machine gun
Your skin were natural and untainted
You smiled and knew that you were not unacquainted

I walked up with a smile and hold your hand
You smelled of flowers and stimulated my endocrine
I stared at your dazzling eyes and asked for a name
It was then he walked up and said “I am her husband, my name is James.”
