I'd Rather Die All Alone Poem by Randy McClave

I'd Rather Die All Alone

Life is very short
So, I don't wanna fight,
I wanna feel only joy and comfort
With all of my might.
I wanna take what I give
To anyone in my life
In joy I want them to also live
Especially, if they are my girlfriend or wife.
I don't wanna hear any lies
Or ever fight about stupid things,
I wanna be seen as a prize
With no attached strings.
You I will never abuse
Or ever take advantage of,
Because, you're the one that I did choose
And your the one I want to love.
I want you to be at my side
And not ever at my feet,
My feelings for you I will never hide
I want you to be my heartbeat.
I want you to stand with me
And I want you inside my heart,
In my soul I want you to always see
And we will never part.
To you I will never lie
To you I will never break any promises,
I promise I will never make you cry
On any provinces.
I want us to wake up together
I want you to be part of my every day,
Our love no man could ever sever
And in church I want us to go to worship and pray.
I want no regret or pain or hurt
Instead I want smiles and always laughter,
I promise I will never dessert
I will always want a happily ever after.
On the same path I want us led
With you I wanna happily grow old,
With all our steps laid ahead
As we journey the same path and road.
I've been on this road for many years
Life is so very short indeed,
I am so tired of all the trips and tears
Joy and happiness is what I need.
If you don't feel the same way that I do
Then your beliefs I won't condone,
I will most likely still love you
But, I would then rather just die alone.
