I had an idea
But where could it be
I had it right here
Right in front of me

I had an idea
But where did it go
I searched up and down
And even far below

I had an idea
But what did I do
I asked him and her
And even you

I had an idea
But where did it get
I’ve looked everywhere
And couldn’t find it

I had an idea
But it went away
You look astonished
At what I say

You do not believe me
And that is fine
But I will search
Because it is mine

An idea so insignificant
And yet so great
It might not seem much right now
But you just wait
