Identity In Christ Poem by April Humason

Identity In Christ

Rating: 5.0

In a world where jealous eyes distort what God made bright,
Beware the quiet serpent of comparison's bite.
For insecurity whispers and twists the mind,
Trying to blur the lines of what was divinely designed.

Some hearts stare sideways, measuring their worth,
Longing for favor, resenting another's birth.
Like fields where jealousy first grew,
They hunger for light that was never meant to be taken from you.

They do not crave just your gift —
They crave the peace inside your soul.
And when they cannot name their lack,
They try to darken what makes you whole.

But stand firm in what Heaven shaped,
You are not borrowed — you are sealed.
No rising envy can rewrite
What God Himself has revealed.

You are not your brother's shadow,
Nor meant to live in silent war.
You are planted in your own calling,
Not measured to another's score.

Let envious eyes grow tired and fade,
Let comparison lose its power.
Your identity is not stolen ground —
It's a God-marked, blooming flower.

So rise above the jealous stare,
Walk gently, bold, and true.
No soul can steal what God has named,
Or undo what He made you.
