'yew' is 'if' in French;
so, if a Frenchman read 'yew' instead of 'if'
in '...ifs and buts in making a decision',
he'd be okay with 'buts' as they're 'goals' in French,
but, unless a yew did actually have to do,
what on earth would decision making have to do
with a yew,
let alone a few?
