Idle Musings



Far beyond the midnight hour,
I lie awake within my bower,
With a wish upon my lips,
I close my eyes and begin to slip
Into the shadows of the night,
As I ruminate upon my plight,
Ravaged by my foolish pining,
A spirit consumed, yet not shining,
Restless within my reveries,
A longing that yearns to be....
