If Poem by Paul Wilson

If

If there is a knot,
It will slip,
And one will smile
To forget;
If there is a bird
It will fly away
Leaving us gasping.
O and if there is a soul
To this slippery mind,
How many and how much
Before we trick it
Into silence?
