If All I Had Poem by L C Vieira

If All I Had

If all I had was just this faith,
it would be bigger than the world,
the jewels, the kingdoms, fame, a face
to choose whatever but the grace.

It would go on though buildings crumble,
true hearts break, good ones fall
and bodies ache.

It would be everything alone
through doubts and fears,
consequences
and humbled tears.

It would be greater than the greats
at greater cost
than all that’s found
and all that’s lost.

If all I had was just this faith,
I’d still be His in time and space
to take the hand that holds me near
and gently makes what’s needed, clear.

If all I had was just this faith
it would be more.
It would be all;
it would be Grace.
