If Death Take Me Home Poem by Courtney Beaudry

If Death Take Me Home

If I go
If I die
What'll happen
Will you cry
Do I mean anything
Am I everything
To someone?

I guess it doesn't matter
Because when i leave
No mourners will come
This web of sorrow I weave

If they care
They'll still be there
Never surrender
All one heart
No matter the distance apart
I wish I could remember
If I matter
It's the truth that's always flattered
But just know it's me who has to pay
