If Ever There Was A True Love (Vi) Poem by Peter S. Quinn

If Ever There Was A True Love (Vi)

If ever there was
A true love
It was in the ways
We were taught

The gold in the words
Of our parents
They gave us the truth
They had fought

Each treasure is seen
By the few
That found love
In each true saying

To find out true
Wisdom is hard
For nothing of gold
Is here staying

If ever you
Should listen close
It's when you were
Taught about this

Give ways to a hope
And loves fulfillment
For kindness we firstly
Will miss
