If Fear Would Be Forsaken Poem by Twisted Moon

If Fear Would Be Forsaken

Rating: 5.0

I have a truth to confess,
And without you I'm a mess,
Over this I obsess,
I'm not a man but something less.

I have my guts I need to spill,
And with nothing to lose I will,
With so much love to reveal,
It's time to tell you how I feel.

I have a hole in my chest,
And you should already know the rest,
If this is God's little test,
I pray to Him for my best.

I have a heart that goes there,
I wonder if you really care,
For all you do is stand and stare,
With my bloody beating pulse you bare.

I have a place for you as well,
As well as a soul for me to sell,
The road paved with good intentions and a church bell,
The burning depths of burning hell.

I have a thirst for eternal bliss,
And this is why I tell you this,
No matter what it's you I miss,
So I join you forever in the black abyss.

But fear remains within me still,
So this poem isn't even real,
This is a dream I have to kill,
For I continue to hide and I always will.
