If God Were A Cat Poem by J.B. LeBuert

If God Were A Cat

Rating: 5.0

If God were a cat,
Would She still meow?
Would She be aloof?
Would She purr somehow?

If God were a cat,
Would She have little paws?
Would She bring me birds,
In Her tiny jaws?

Would She bring back to life
Those that have died,
From persecution and strife,
Over which millions have cried?

I know I'd feel better
If God took a nap,
And allowed me to sit,
With Her on my lap.

If God were a cat
I'd pet Her all day,
Stroke Her so fondly,
And beg Her to stay!
