If I Can... Poem by Mrudula Rani

If I Can...

I adjudge myself poet, if I can have you gather,
fragrant efflorescence' supple and silken texture,
Dawn's coruscating rays unfurl like fabric so fine,
awakens dormant kernel to upsize tall and green.
Caresses of Zephyr through misty curtain; a rapture.

If I can define accord atwix souls; noble treasure,
If I can lay journey of love amid pet and human in picture,
Smile a hungry face emits to the hand of divine,
I adjudge myself poet.

If I can tag all hues under azure lid, past measure!
avid mood of elements that break boundaries of nature,
Ever prying mind, can deceive its own, plays God often.
Once more to ignite your faith, the miracles that happen,
If I can spiel the mirth of scribing views into structure,
I adjudge myself poet.
