If I Could Poem by Alnaver Baltazar

If I Could

Rating: 5.0

You shed a tear
And I saw a fear
It came to my senses
Absorbed by my body and soul
The pain that was inflicted
A rose that pricked a heart

Flowing freely like a river
Each and every tear
…Burned the silence

But like an eagle that soar
Or like the cloud in its journey
We must learn to fly again
We must move on.

As my hand gently sweep
Your innocent cheeks
Tears that shattered your
Deep and radiant eyes
…Dropped into my finger.

My soul begun to shake…
My soul begun to tremble…

…A tear to stare at
…A tear to look at

And if I could just preserve it,
I will…
I would…
