If I Stay… Poem by Camagu Somana

If l stay l might not have another chance.
If l stay I might not leave again.
Let me take a forward step to a place
Wildly unknown but I'm sure it is free from pain.
When the grass was green and flowers did bloom,
It was in spring time I still remember.
But today is a day of gloom and doom
No inch of green nor red or amber.
If l stay I might not find my rib.
If I stay I might lose a chance to brighten
My life ‘cause I want a nice crib,
Plus a big family with kids but not more than ten.
I already see signs of greatness ahead.
I come up out of that lap ‘cause my heart has bled.
