If I Were A Book Poem by Randy McClave

If I Were A Book

Would anyone give me a look
If I were a book,
Or would my pages be unread
Because of lies others had said.
Would you read my leaf
Or would it bring you anger and grief,
Would you read any of my pages
From my life and the different stages.
There are so many chapters
Full of pain, betrayal, lies and laughters,
It is a true biography
It is of me.
Would you look at my cover
Or over it would you just judge and hover,
Would you give it a bad review
To all strangers and everyone you knew.
My story would you automatically dislike
My book would you hate and strike,
Or would you send it to Maury
Even after not hearing my side of the story.
