If I Were (New York)~ Da Sam (Njujork) Poem by Jankovic Zoran

If I Were (New York)~ Da Sam (Njujork)

Imagine we dance Foxtrot:
If I were Warren Baffett
so we can work in Wall street.
If I were Newsdealer
and we dance of the rain.
If I were Huricane Irene
so all New York belongs to me.
I would be Baffett, a newspaper seller, Irene.
Well, I'd be all you like,
and you would only be megapolis Muse.

Da sam (Njujork)

Zamisli da plešemo fokstrot:
Da sam Voren Befet
pa da to radimo u Vol stritu.
Da sam prodavac novina
pa da plešemo na kiši
na Tajm skveru.
Da sam uragan Ajrin
pa da Njujork bude samo tvoj.
Bio bih Befet, prodavac novina, Ajrin.
Ma, bio bih šta god hoćeš
a ti bi bila velegradska muza.
