If I Were You - Poem by Dave Birss

If I were you
I'd fancy me
Because I'd have your physiognomy;
You hair,
Your lips,
Your cheeks,
Your eyes,
Your arms,
Your bum,
Your breasts,
Your thighs.
I'd strip down to your underclothes
And with a mirror I would pose
And feel your skin
And feel your flesh
And run my hands again afresh
From head to toe
And toe to head
And then I'd take me off to bed.
I'd dress in lacy underwear
Make up my face and do my hair
And put on sexy lycra gear
Just like I do when you're not here.
