If Jesus Visited, Where Would He Stay? Poem by Chuy Amante

So if Jesus the Christ came back here for a visit,
what would his life look like after his 12hrs
of work,6 days a week?

I've seen some big very nice houses
that belong to ministers and Rabbis

Pools, big carports, well-cared for gardens.
There are great 5-Star hotels downtown.
Perhaps the government will put Him in a fancy, safe place?

It's hard for me to see those options being accepted.

Where are the Salt-of-the-earth types?
Where are the humble, meek, simple folks?
Are there people around here that fish
for a living? No house, no pillow for his head?

So where? Who? How? When? Really?

Maybe he'll be working with the grassroots
people, those of little to no money.
His sheep? Natural wanderers in nature?

I'll know where to find him after-hours.
Let's meet there and party with Him.
