If Only I Can, My Love - Poem by Manoj Kyan
If only I can hold your hands -
Hands that caressed my head in distress,
Those hands that wiped the tears rolling down my cheeks,
The very hands that held mine tight to mean you love me...
If only I can smell your fragrance -
Fragrance that livens me up each day,
The scent of happiness, calm and warmth I have known,
The very smell I have known to be my Oxygen...
If only I can taste those lips -
Lips that are dipped in honey,
Those lips that has twittered like a butterfly on me,
The very lips that cutely curves to say you love me...
If only I can hear your voice -
Voice that kindles and unleashes my spirit,
The voice of love, care, tenderness and confidence I enjoy,
The very voice that has become one with my 'inner' voice...
If only I can meet those eyes -
Eyes that speak the message of love,
Those eyes black and white below those dangling brows,
The very eyes that penerate skin depth to understand the real me...
If only I can do these, My Love -
Once and once more only, I shall deem it
The Gift of My life - the gift I would cherish in life and after,
The very gift that would define my existence now and forever...
