If Only I Could Breath Poem by jyoti saxena

If Only I Could Breath

Rating: 4.3

Life would have been a treat
If with love my birth was greet
They left me on the street
To fend for my daily meat.

Was it such a crime
To want and to pine
For that which was mine!

Left in the lurch,
Like a lonely birch
With just my soul to clutch.

The look in some men’s eyes
Remind me I am still alive!
Betrayed, vulnerable
Soul entombed in feminine guise!

A soul Entombed in a feminine guise will definately wish to 'Breathe'... n 'Live' too.. very touching... what life is it anyway if one comes to know that one is alive with the looks of men around..

A deeply profound poem! One wonders after the read, the pathetic helplessness of poet's soul.......

'If only I could breath' seems to be a poem looking for inspiration in a troubled world. I hope your imagination will transcend yourself and that you will find the oxygen you need. This is a soul searching poem.10/10.
