The rose
had a tiff with the thorn
relationship wormed
it filed for divorce.
The judge
tried his best
to put the matter to rest
but the rose
arrogant in the powers
of its beautified bowers
refused conciliation.
Nowadays
I see the rose
In its naked pose
Mostly at ceremonies
Thrown at the feet of leaders
Unfortunately trampled upon
sans fear of any thorn.
And the thorn
adorned
In the crown of each
Gandhi, Voltaire, Jesus born!
Interesting analogy....I like the portrayal of the rose and the thorn as marriage partners...nice write
Ha, ha, ha, ha..........what a piece of imagination.....A thorn is a thorn madam, cruel and hurtful......Poor Rose, in its ignorance dreamnt of the thorn to be stern and strong and solid like a steel, fell a prey to its dashing outward appearance............poor rose, fated twice to suffer, on separation as well as marriage.

I would like to translate this poem
rose and thorn cannot b seperated.. rose has to b embedded with thorns n vice versa.. or else both will die.. thorns must pinch to make one understand ones reality and when one realizes..rose should be there to soothe...
