If I could go back in time,
I could do things right,
I could wipe the eyes I made cry
And speak more truth than all my lies

If only I can go back in time
For all those goodbyes,
For all those sweet lies
For all those hearts that were broken for my selfish pride
I wish you could see that i'm no longer that guy
Hear me as I try to apologise.
For if I could go back in time, I would make things right.

For all those hearts that were broken
All those lies that were spoken
The smiles that were stolen and the pain I made

I'm haunted by my past
For all the times I gave my fake love, knowing it won't last
I apologise.

If I could go back in time,
I could make mom smile, more than I made her cry
I could put family first unlike the street life
I could sing more of my nursery rythmes
I could hold mom tight, and never let her go
And tell her all the things I wanted her to know
I could listen to her words not to fight at school
Be a good kid, as she wanted me to.

If I could go back in time
I could hear my dad's words to be strong
I could block the way to depression by forgiving those that did me wrong
I could let my past die and not pay evil to those that showed me love
I could feed the needy,
Mourn the dead, and motivate the young.
If I could go back in time! ! !
