we joined hearts and souls
with so much hope and love
i celebrated with my whole being
precious moments were all so true
believing they were meant to last

but jealousy had found it’s prey
creeping in with great dismay
and selfishness joined the game
quickly came and stood in between
it hurt us both and it tore us both

what went wrong i don’t really know
it is pain inside now i do know
what to say right to mend I don’t know
so, it is best left unsaid yes I know
what I know now i am really sorry – if only I know how
