Donning the brightest smile you walked to me
On that fine summer afternoon
Upon my arrival - the moment we waited too long
Glancing at me, your eyes sparkled
I fought back my tears, hoping to hide the pain and joy
Lowering my face, not wanting you to see the changing colors of my emotion
Oh Doug, I choked….finally we meet again
Very happy my heart sang and
Every part of me danced
You held me, gently kissed my lips and whispered….
Oh Stacey, I love you…
Upon us I saw the angels singing…celebrating the reunion of our hearts
(Note: The 10 years of waiting is worth the wait....)
I get the feeling that 50 years of waiting would have been worth the wait.... this sings to me. t x
