If Only You Knew Poem by Nicole Delong

If Only You Knew

You talk, you judge
You belittle and break.
You laugh and stare.
But if you knew,
you'd understand.
You'd feel my pain,
You'd see my fear,
You'd hear my cries.
If you knew,
What I've seen.
If you knew
What I've felt.
If you knew,
What I've heard,
You'd talk and comfort.
You'd raise and build,
You'd cry and sleep.
If only you knew
What i saw, and what I see.
If only you knew
What i felt, and what I feel.
If only you knew
What i heard, and what I hear.
You simply cant understand,
You cant accept it.
You only imagine,
You only disown.
If you knew the truth,
If you knew the story,
If you'd let me speak,
Then maybe.
Maybe you would understand.
Its more than you could ever know.
If only you knew.
