If The Woman Poem by Raymond Farrell

If The Woman

Rating: 4.5

If the woman
Was one ounce under 350 pounds
I'd have been surprised
And the last place
She needed to be
Was a fast food restaurant
Her tray was ladden
With a virtual cornucopia
Of the usual fast food junk
Each item guaranteed
To perpetuate her obesity
Except one
There, sitting by itself
Was a diet Coke
Somehow, perhaps, she thought
This would make a difference
Of maybe
She just preferred the taste

How funny! But you are so right. Obesity is a problem now - healthwise, and it's not very pretty, either. When will people wake up? I think they have no mirrors in their houses. Very good poem - truth delivered in a most entertaining way.

Thank you for taking time to read the poem. It is sad to realize how people's behavior undermines their health, and yet a simple change would make such a difference in the health of the nation overall.
