If this love was love
True and soft;
like a virgin cotton embracing her seed
Joy will be all it will crave
To put smiles where smiles are lacking
And heal with kindness where hearts are bruised

So even while in ocean-deep romance
Perhaps strolling, hand in hand
Locked as though a jailer's chain,
And I let loose my hand,
Only to catch a falling child
I do expect, that you surrender and give all you can.
